Switching location profiles
The Webroot firewall automatically detects your computer’s network connection (either a home, office, or remote network); however, you can change the type of network connection in the Profile Selection settings, if necessary.
To switch profiles:
1.
In the Icon panel, click Firewall.
2.
Click the Main tab.
The Main screen opens.
3.
Under Profile Selection, click the down arrow to display all the options, then click the desired setting (described in the following table).

Profile Selection
Home
Filters traffic for a home-networked environment, where there is no other firewall protection.
Office
Filters traffic for an office environment where your computer is connected in a network and the company has a firewall already in place.
Remote
Filters traffic for environments where you are connected to a company network with no firewall in place or to a local network where you do not know what security is in place, such as from an Internet cafΘ.
4.
To adjust the filtering level for this profile, see the next topic, Adjusting security levels.
